Business Activity Grew Modestly in NY State in April

Business activity grew modestly in New York State in the month of April, reports The Federal Reserve Bank of New York Empire State Manufacturing Survey. The headline general business conditions index rose 6 points, indicating growth picked up somewhat but remained fairly subdued. New orders rose slightly, and shipments continued to grow modestly.

Total Production Ticked Down in March

The US industrial sector continues to struggle. Total production ticked down 0.1% in March, missing expectations that production would at least hold steady amid tentative signs that the global growth environment is stabilizing after slowing this past year.

The motor vehicles industry has been a particularly soft spot. Production fell 2.5% in March and is down 4.5% over the past year. Mining activity has also softened in recent months following the drop in oil prices late in 2018. Production fell 0.8% in March and has not increased since December. Wells Fargo

Notre Dame Cathedral Went Up in Flames

Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, France went up in flames Monday. We do not yet know how extensive the damage will be or the cause, but the artifact was undergoing a major restoration and many things of value had previously been removed for that project. The Cathedral is 850 years old, built in 1260 A.D. I understand it had caught fire several times through the ages.

Tiger Woods Takes Fifth Green Jacket

Tiger Woods won his fifth green jacket at the Masters golf tournament last Sunday. It was his first major win in eleven years, and he did it in fine fashion.

The Mueller Report

For two years we have been hearing “wait for the Mueller report.” It was not good enough for the Democrats when it was released. For months the left had been lauding AG Barr, now he is a shill for the president. What a bunch of losers. They are so invested in the bullshit they have been feeding the American people for two years that they can’t let go. So sad for our country.

Just listening to AG Barr speaking prior to release of the report and he states there is NO evidence of collusion between Trump or anyone in his campaign, and there is NO evidence of obstruction by Trump or anyone in his campaign. What are they going to do now? They have been lying to the American people with impunity. Hopefully further investigation into how all this crap got started will indict the real culprits of collusion and obstruction. They should all go to jail.

This is quite an agenda and will be difficult to achieve all in one term, but I believe the American people are behind him and know these things need to be done. Now, if he can get our legislators to support him instead of fighting him….
