Improvements in Production-Related Indicators

Led by improvements in production-related indicators, the Chicago Fed National Activity Index (CFNAI) increased to +0.52 in December from +0.31 in November. Three of the four broad categories of indicators used to construct the index made positive contributions in December. The index’s 3-month moving average (CFNAI-MA3) ticked up to +0.61 in December.

US Drill Rigs Running Up 5 From Previous Week

There were 378 drill rigs running in the US last week, up five rigs from the previous week, down 416 rigs from one year ago. Canadian drilling increased by 11 rigs last week to 172 rigs, down 72 rigs from one year ago.

US Raw Steel Production at ACUR 75.7%

In the week ending January 23, 2021 US raw steel production was 1,717,000 net tons at an ACUR of 75.7 percent, down 1.2 percent from the previous week.

Midwest Economy Index Fell December 2020

The Midwest Economy Index (MEI), which approximates quarterly growth at a monthly frequency, fell to +1.26 in December from +1.83 in November. Contributions to the December MEI from three of the four broad sectors of nonfarm business activity and all five Seventh Federal Reserve District states decreased from November.

Stop the Steal: Term Limit Politicians

Rob Portman, an Ohio senator who has been in the House and Senate for somewhere near 30 years, seeing the writing on the wall, will not run again in 2022. His salary as a senator is $174,000 per year. He leaves with a net worth of $13 million (as of 2012!). This is what I mean about the swamp. Our country needs term limits to end the constant theft of taxpayer money.

5 Days into the Biden Presidency …

  • 11,000 American jobs lost as a direct result of the permit being pulled for the Keystone Pipeline. Associated job losses around 100,000 or more, according to estimates.
  • Boys competing in girls’ sports and vice versa, that will end well.
  • Either sex permitted to use whichever bathroom they feel like using. That will end well.
  • Construction stopped on the wall protecting our southern border. Caravans of illegal immigrants headed to our border. Deportations have been stopped.
  • All oil drilling and gas permits stopped on all federal lands. Just the beginning of the job losses and attacks on the oil and gas energy industry.
  • At least 11 million illegal immigrants headed for amnesty…and handouts you will pay for.

This is some of what has happened in the 5 days Joe Biden has been president. Do you miss President Trump yet? I most certainly do…

EQUITY or EQUALITY?

The new buzzword of the Left is “equity,” which is defined as “conformity with rules or standards.” This is great for communist China where everyone wears the same clothes, is given the same money or things on which to live, the same home, education, medical care (?), but it will not work in the USA. This will be Affirmative Action (which did not work) on steroids. People will be turned away from a job or career for which they are highly qualified because some bureaucrat decides it is unequitable, students will be refused admission to the school of their choice because some administrator decides their admission would not be equitable. Can you see where this will lead? It is an invitation to racism based on color or ethnicity.

Equality, on the other hand, is the “state of being essentially equal or equivalent, equally balanced, as in “…that All men are created equal.” We ARE equal, as men and women, created in the image of God. But the United States also grants her citizens the freedom to think, to speak, to excel in life, to self-direct one’s life. Equity by the left will be used to create a singular society of sheepish drones…if WE allow them to do it.

Do you think this may benefit the Left when Biden grants amnesty to the 11-30 million illegals residing in our country? Horse shit!

Vote at Home Act

The so-called Democrats, on Thursday, introduced a bill dubbed the “Vote at Home Act” in Congress to “massively expand” mail-in voting, enacting automatic voter registration and providing voters (and illegal voters) with pre-paid ballot envelopes.
