Lower Than Expected Prices
Lower-than-expected prices are certainly welcome news after a string of elevated monthly increases. The Consumer Price Index (CPI) rose “only” 0.4% in October while excluding food and energy. That said, consumer price inflation is well above the Fed’s target rate of 2%, which likely will keep the FOMC biased towards over-tightening, rather than loosening in the foreseeable future. Small Business Optimism Index Declined for the First Time Since June
The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) Small Business Optimism Index declined 0.8 points in October, to 91.3. This marks the first decline in the headline index since June. In the week ending November 5, 2022, US raw steel production was 1,640,000 net tons at an ACUR of 73.5 percent, down 1.4 percent from the previous week, and down 10.3 percent from one year ago

Watching the election returns Tuesday night brought forth the stunning realization that around half the electorate in the United States are happy with the direction of the country. How is that possible? Inflation, rampant crime, illegal immigration, sexualization of our children, a weakened military, wind and solar over oil and gas, a weak economy. I just don’t get it. Fetterman the senator from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania? The man cannot speak a coherent sentence. I have empathy for him as he recovers from his stroke but to install him in the senate is preposterous.
I would suggest that the media and politicians STOP offering their outcome predictions as they cause one party to vote and the other to stay home. How else do you explain such a defeat?
Oh, early mail in balloting is a scam designed by the Marxists. Did you notice how many refused to debate their opponent until all or most of the mail-ins were harvested? Fetterman, for instance. What a scam, and it is being allowed.
