USMCA Delayed Ratification

President Trump and the leaders of Canada and Mexico announced the most significant trade deal in a generation a year ago this week. The US-Mexico-Canada Agreement is unambiguously a win for America. It would create new jobs, expand export markets, strengthen protections for workers and generate billions of dollars in new prosperity. The USMCA would also help keep North American partners close while the US hangs tough with China.”

Mexico has ratified the agreement; Canada is waiting for us to take the lead. The US Senate stands ready, willing and eager to pass it. There’s only one obstacle, which has been on full display in the last several days: House Democrats have been more interested in picking fights with the White House than clinching bipartisan victories for America.”

Under pressure from progressives to deny the country any successes during the Trump administration, Speaker Nancy Pelosi has tried to run out the clock on the USMCA. Leading House Democrats frequently claim to support the deal in the abstract but have spent months finding one excuse after another to delay passing it…House Democrats need to put the country first and stop blocking this significant victory for the American people.”

The USMCA is not some political football, it is a critical piece of economic policy…twelve million American jobs rely on trade with our northern and southern neighbors, according to the US Chamber of Commerce. Mexico and Canada together represent a $500 billion export market for the US.”

Ask America’s farmers and producers how important these trading relationships are…ask America’s manufacturers. Ninety percent of US manufacturing sectors count either Canada or Mexico in their top two export markets. Virtually no part of the US economy is untouched. The deal would expand market access for American food, including badly needed approval to sell more dairy, poultry and eggs to Canada a $2.2 billion victory for agriculture alone.”

The US trade representative estimates the USMCA’s automotive provisions would yield more than $30 billion in new investments over five years and billions more in purchases of US auto parts every year…All in all, the International Trade Commission predicts the USMCA would create around $68 billion in wealth and 176,000 jobs for America.

Some observers, and not only Republicans, suspect that Democrats simply want to deny Mr. Trump a high profile win. Even more cynically, perhaps they agree with the far-left voices actively rooting for a recession to help their election odds in 2020…whatever the reason, the Democrats’ delaying tactics are hurting the country…if Mrs. Pelosi and the House tank this trade deal because they do not like the occupant of the White House…it will have drained potential prosperity from all 50 states and killed a huge number of American jobs.”

Excerpts from an editorial in Monday’s Wall Street Journal, written by Mitch McConnell and Kevin McCarthy

I have expressed my views (which remain the same) to you several times in the pages of the View. These idiots only want power, the power to unleash their radical un-American policies on our nation, to control how you think, act and believe…I say SCREW THEM! Unfortunately, most of our Republican legislators have yet to grow a set of balls and fight back against this nonsense. It is a dangerous to the country when our legislators do not stand up for what is right and good for the people of the United States.

The Buck Stops Here on Trade Tariffs

I am tired of hearing everyone complaining about the trade tariffs. Fact is, if previous administrations, going back decades, had not given away our jobs, our intellectual property, our trade stature in the world, etc. we would not be in this mess. Now comes a president, finally, who sees the wrongs that have been done to our country and is hell-bent on fixing them. Notice please, our trading partners are not running to the White House saying, “take off the tariffs and we will renegotiate our trade deals with you.” No, they have been permitted to take advantage of this country, for their benefit, for way too long. It is time to stop the bleeding. Yes, there will be short term suffering by many but victory in these renegotiations will bring huge and long-lasting benefits to the country and her citizens. Don’t pay attention to the whining. As Harry Truman once said; “The buck stops here.” It is long past the time when this should have been done.

The Bidens

What do you think about Joe and Hunter Biden? I believe they are guilty. How does a guy with ZERO financial experience be placed on the board of a financial services company? With a handsome signing bonus and a salary of $50,000.00 per month? How does that happen? It is like Chelsea Clinton being hired for $600,000.00 per year. But no, let’s impeach Donald J. Trump.

Biden is useless, can’t remember his name let alone what he did in Ukraine, much of which is on video, yet he denies everything. Here again, our scrotum-less senators and representatives fail to do anything about it.

Warren’s Warrentless Campaign Issues

Speaking of useless, I am very tired of hearing the whining voice of the socialist, Elizabeth Warren. She wants to over tax you, destroy the corporations that create employment for our people, give , give, give to the illegal aliens in our country, give, give, give to everyone until the country while in reality, she will tax your pants off. Stay strong folks, stand behind our President Trump for his goals are the right thing for this country. All we hear from the left are lies upon lies, they make-up stories, they create division among the citizens of the United States. They care about nothing except getting their claws on power. When they finally get it, and make no mistake, at some point they will, our country will be in for a rude awakening. Those of us conservative thinkers who can say “I told you so…” will be silenced and this great country will be dismantled piece by piece until there is only a shell of the greatness that once was. I don’t know how long that tragedy will last because in the end, the American people will rise up to claim what is rightfully theirs…Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness will be a good start.

STAND UP FOR THE FLAG AND LET’S ALL RING THE LIBERTY BELL…

As an American citizen, how do you want our country to move forward for you and your family:

SECURE BORDERS? OPEN BORDERS?
MORE GOVERNMENT? LESS GOVERNMENT?
A STRONG MILITARY? A WEAK MILITARY?
LESS TAXATION? MORE TAXATION?
LESS GOVERNMENT REGULATION? MORE GOVERNMENT REGULATION?
FAIR TRADE AGREEMENTS? QUID PRO QUO TRADE AGREEMENTS?
PROPER CARE FOR OUR VETERANS? DON’T CARE FOR OUR VETERANS?
MERIT BASED IMMIGRATION? THE SHIT WE HAVE NOW?
RESPONSIBLE HELP FOR THE POOR? THROW MONEY AT THE PROBLEM?
TEACH AMERICAN HISTORY TO OUR CHILDREN? ERASE AMERICAN HISTORY?
RESPECT OUR FLAG? DON’T GIVE A SHIT?
SAY THE PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE IN SCHOOL? WHAT IS THAT?

Infrastructure X (Keystone & Dakota pipelines) Regulation Reform XX 1 in 2 out

Secure our Borders (The Wall) XX Lead the world from the front XX

I will track these campaign promises and will check them off as each is accomplished adding those I have missed as they become apparent. This is quite an agenda and will be difficult to achieve all in one term, but I believe the American people are behind him and know these things need to be done. Now, if he can get our legislators to support him instead of fighting him….

TEDDY ROOSEVELT ON IMMIGRANTS IN AMERICA…1907

In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the person’s becoming in every facet an American and nothing but an American. There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn’t an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag…We have room for but one language here and that is the English language…and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people.”</blockquote
