Manufacturing and Mining Produced a Solid Outturn for Industrial Production
Manufacturing and mining produced a solid outturn for industrial production in January. Looking ahead, we already expected a short-term air pocket before production turns sharply higher later this year. Wells Fargo

US Drill Rigs Running Up 5 from Prior Week
There were 397 drill rigs running in the US last week, up five rigs from the prior week, down 393 rigs from one year ago. Canadian drilling also increased by five rigs to 176, down 79 rigs from one year ago.

Monday was President’s Day (formerly known as George Washington’s Birthday), but we must ask ourselves; what can our children know about our rich history when former presidents have their names removed from schools and buildings, even from history books?
Biden Urges Strengthening Gun Laws
Here we go again, the attack on law abiding gun owners:
The idiot who is not my president, on February 14 urged Congress to strengthen existing laws concerning gun ownership on the third anniversary of the mass shooting at a Parkland, Fl. Mass shooting.
This Administration will not wait for the next mass shooting…we will take action to end our epidemic of gun violence and make our schools and communities safer. Today I am calling on Congress to enact commonsense gun law reforms, including requiring background checks on all gun sales, banning assault weapons and high capacity magazines and eliminating immunity for gun manufacturers who knowingly put weapons of war on our streets.”
Biden said on his campaign site that he will “defeat” the NRA. The NRA lobbying arm responded, in part, “your NRA is fully prepared to oppose he may have to “defeat” America’s largest and oldest civil rights organization and the fundamental liberties it protects.”
In my view, if he wants to do something , it should be directed at those who are mentally unstable. Law abiding citizens do not execute mass shootings. Period. But the Democrats will not do that. Their goal is to disarm the American public and We the People will not allow them to do that, an unarmed citizenry is helpless to defend themselves from tyrannical rule.
The administration, in a purely political move, has threatened to curtail travel to Florida, where Governor DeSantis has opened the schools and businesses with no surge in covid cases. This infuriates the idiots in Washington.
This week the idiots plan to allow 25,000 immigrants into our country, free to collect all the benefits of citizenship while we have true American citizens in great need. More bull shit.
Speaking of more bull shit:

- Power Shortages show the folly of eliminating natural gas-and coal.
- Gas and power prices have spiked across the central US while Texas regulators ordered rolling blackouts Monday as an Arctic blast has frozen wind turbines. Herein is the paradox of the left’s climate agenda: The less we use fossil fuels, the more we need them.
- A mix of ice and snow swept across the country this weekend as temperatures plunged below zero in the upper Midwest and into the teens in Houston. Cold snaps happen-the US experienced a Polar Vortex in 2019-as do heat waves. Yet the power grid is becoming less reliable due to growing reliance on wind and solar, which can’t provide power 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
- While Texas is normally awash in oil and gas, the Electric Reliability Council of Texas, which oversees the state’s wholesale power market, urged residents this week to conserve power and avoid power outages. Regulators rationed gas for commercial and industrial uses to ensure fuel for power plants and household heating.
My understanding is, the wind turbines are all frozen,” Public Utility Commission Chairman DeAnn Walker said Friday.
Blame a perfect storm of bad government policies, timing and weather. Coal and nuclear are the most reliable sources of power, but competition from heavily subsidized wind power and inexpensive natural gas, combined with stricter emission regulation, has caused coal’s share of Texas’s electricity to plunge by more than half in a decade to 18%.
Wind’s share has tripled to about 25% since 2010 and accounted for 42% of power last week before the freeze set in. About half of Texans rely on electric pumps for heating, which liberals want to mandate everywhere. The pumps use a lot of power in frigid weather. So while wind turbines were freezing, demand for power was surging.
Gas-fired power plants ramped up but the Arctic freeze increased demand for gas across the country…Enormous new demand coupled with constrained supply caused natural gas spot prices to spike to nearly $600 per million BTU’s in the central US from about $3 a couple weeks ago. Future wholesale power prices in Texas for early this week soared to $9,000 per megawatt hour from a seasonal average of $25.
Put that in your pipe and smoke it. Global warming, climate change, call it what you will, it is a scam on the world. A big load of crap.
RIP Rush Limbaugh
On Wednesday we lost the great Rush Limbaugh after his battle with lung cancer, he was 70 years old. Rush had his radio show for 30 years, touting conservatism, the greatness of America and all that is right and good. He railed against liberalism, progressivism and the utter nonsense of left-wing politics. May he rest in peace in the light of the Lord.
Pathway to Equitable Math
A mathematics guide sent out to Oregon schools tells educators that asking students to show their work in math class is a form of white supremacy. In an email sent out by the Oregon Department of Education, teachers were encouraged to enroll in a course called “A Pathway to Equitable Math Instruction.” The course came with an 82-page instructional guide that lists the ways in which white supremacy is perpetuated in math class.
White supremacy culture infiltrates math classrooms in everyday teacher action,” the guide reads. “Coupled with the beliefs that underlie these actions, they perpetuate educational harm on black, latinx and multilingual students, denying them full access to the world of mathematics.”
Examples of classroom actions that allegedly perpetuate white supremacy include asking students to show their work, focus on getting the right answer, tracking student success, and grading students.
I’m sorry, but these people have lost their minds. Consider what this means…PLEASE. How stupid do they want our children to be???

TEDDY ROOSEVELT ON IMMIGRANTS IN AMERICA…1907
In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the person’s becoming in every facet an American and nothing but an American. There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn’t an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag…We have room for but one language here and that is the English language…and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people.”
