There is not much news I am going to report for this short work week. The stock market continues to reach new highs and generally speaking that is good news.

I am not a fan of allowing Iran to continue to enrich uranium. All of their centrifuges remain in existence. In my view it is a profoundly stupid move. The rollout of Obamacare is still a cluster screw. The Democrats have stalemated the filibuster, preferring a simple majority vote to approve presidential nominees. Of course they were adamantly against this and spoke vociferously about this happening in Washington during the Bush administration. What goes around, comes around. Surely at some point, the Democrats will not have control of the White House and the Senate. Wait until the crying starts about that one.

The eastern seaboard is going to get pummeled by a massive storm of ice and snow over the Thanksgiving holiday. Please use caution if you are driving and be prepared for the unexpected.

In addition to The View this week, I am sharing an editorial which has been published in the Wall Street Journal over Thanksgiving since 1961. Reading them each year, as I have for the past 40 years or so, never fails to humble me in appreciation of what those before us endured, initially to find the New World and through their travails to eventually create a country of free men. So, let us give thanks for those pioneers who blazed a trail for us to follow, thanks for a Republic of free men which survives to this day. Thanks that we enjoy our days with no rockets being lobbed at us from nefarious enemies, that we are free to enjoy Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.

Remember:

Fast & Furious-providing weapons to criminals leading to a loss of American life. No one held accountable. The president was unaware.
The loss of 4 American lives at our embassy in Benghazi, Libya. No one held accountable. The president was unaware.
The IRS targeting conservative political groups for tax-exempt status. No one held accountable. The president was unaware.
The National Security Administration eavesdropping on the phone calls of American citizens. No one held accountable. The president was unaware.
The software program created for the Affordable Healthcare Act, at a cost of $650 million and 3 ½ years to perfect, has been unusable to the American people. No one held accountable. The president was unaware.
Spying on our Allies, specifically Angela Merkel of Germany. No one held accountable. The president was unaware. (although these things go on knowingly between countries all the time, the fact that our president denies knowledge of this is just another sign of his incompetence as the leader of the most powerful country on the planet)

Have a great weekend and….
