The Federal Reserve Bank of New York released its November 2025 Empire State Manufacturing Survey results and reports business activity increased at a solid pace, according to executives responding to the survey. The headline general business conditions index rose 8 points to 18.7, its fourth positive reading in the last five months. New orders and shipments increased significantly, inventories expanded and supply availability worsened somewhat.
US drill rigs running up from previous week
There were 549 drill rigs running in the US last week, up one rig from the previous week, down thirty-five rigs from one year ago. Meanwhile, Canadian drillers shut three rigs, to 188, which is down twelve rigs from one year ago.

The Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia released its November 2025 Manufacturing Business Outlook Survey results and reports manufacturing activity in the region weakened this month, according to firms responding to the survey. The current general activity index rose but remained negative while the new orders and shipments indexes both turned negative.
Expectations for growth over the next six months were more widespread.
Existing home sales rose in October

Currently, inflation is around 3%, a two-thirds reduction in 10 or 11 months, it is still a point higher than the Fed target of 2%, but it is much improved. Trump is not the cause of high beef prices, nature is. The USA was importing beef from Mexico, and lots of it, until their cattle herds were stricken by some virus or parasite which led the FDA to suspend all shipments of beef from Mexico into the USA. Supply and demand, if you have less of something in demand, the cost will rise until there is a surplus of that item. The market will protect itself in the long-run.
Drill baby, drill…gasoline prices are around $3 per gallon, they were quite a bit higher in the Biden years.
Interest and mortgage rates have fallen in recent months, so these key rates have moved lower. We all know Trump has wanted Powell to cut rates since he took office in January. Powell will be replaced next May, when his term is up.
In summary, do not pay attention to the negative news, it is all political bullshit, just like the forty-three day government shutdown we just came through. It was all to protect Schumer, but being dishonest, his plan failed, though many Americans had to suffer for his lies, additionally, it cost the American economy billions of dollars in lost commerce.
Job creation will take care of this affordability problem, if the idiots will let the president pursue his agenda instead of fighting him, it would happen sooner rather than later.
What is the real reason people do not want the government to intercede on the part of citizens who live in cities riddled with crime? Does it make sense to anyone? It is certainly not common sense. Trump Derangement System is that intense? People are willing to put up with murder, rape, robbery, drugs etc.? For what? Certainly not the rule of law.
