1942 Doolittle Raid 80th Anniversary

Monday was the 80th Anniversary of the 1942 Doolittle Raid on Tokyo. Valor. When things were their darkest for the US after the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor, the Doolittle Raiders gave the nation hope. 16 B-25’s, each with a 5-man crew, were lined up on the aircraft carrier USS Hornet. This had never been tried in war-sending heavy bombers off a carrier. The Japanese military had learned of the operation which forced the planes to take off from farther out in the Pacific than had been planned. They would lack enough fuel to reach safety beyond Japan’s borders.

They went anyway, bombed Tokyo, then tried to make it to China. Four planes crashed, 11 crewmen had to bail out, three Raiders died, eight were captured and three were executed. One aviator died of starvation in a prison camp.

There was nothing they could be asked to do for their country that they wouldn’t do, that is who those men were.” Said Gary Griffin, son of Tom Griffin, navigator of plane No. 9.
God bless our Fly Boy’s…

2017 Trump Tax Cuts

The 2017 Trump Tax cuts did exactly what they were forecast to do. When you hear the liberal progressives rail about the damage from tax cuts, remember the following words from a Wall Street Journal op-ed 4/20/22:

Remember the claims during the 2017 tax debate that tax reform would drain the Treasury, especially the cut in the corporate income tax rate to 21% from 35%? Corporate revenue was supposed to fall to historic lows as a share of the economy. Big business supposedly got a windfall and government was robbed.

It hasn’t turned out that way. Corporate tax revenue declined in the immediate wake of reform as the rates fell. But the big news now is that more corporate tax revenue is flowing into Treasury at record levels even with the lower rate.

In June 2017, before tax reform passed, CBO predicted corporate revenue of $383 billion in fiscal 2021. But in April 2018, after reform passed, CBO lowered its estimate to $372 billion. Actual corporate income tax revenue in 2021 was $372 billion, nearly as much at a rate of 21% as CBO expected at the 35% rate which was among the highest tax rates in the world.

Fiscal 2022 is turning out even better for the Treasury. Corporate tax revenue for the fist six months was up 225 from a year earlier-to $127 billion. William McBride of the Tax Foundation estimates that if the pace of the first half continues, corporate tax revenue will hit a new record of $454 billion in fiscal 2022.

By the way, individual income-tax revenue rose by $300 billion, or 36%, in the fiscal year through March, from the same period in 2021. Washington is having a very good year and does not need more money to spend.” I told these “experts” are idiots, they think they know more than We the People, but they do not. Not even close.

National Environmental Policy Act Trump Reforms Ended

The idiot in the Oval Office has ended reforms Trump made to the way federal agencies are required to implement the National Environmental Policy Act. Trump’s reforms exempted many infrastructure projects from environmental review and made project approval faster for those that still had to be reviewed.

This will increase costs and slow down delivery times for projects funded by the infrastructure bill,” Institute for Progress co-founder Alec Sapp said. “Baffling that they would sabotage their own signature legislation over an environmental process law that’s been exploited by NIMBYs.”

Baffling as it may be, sabotaging his signature bipartisan domestic accomplishment is exactly what Biden did on Thursday. I told you he was an idiot, along with his advisers.

Do you wonder why liberals, progressives (Democrats) are obsessed with exposing our young children to gay, transgender and other perverted lifestyles they espouse??? Additionally, what about the obsession with “climate change?” I mean, really. We are in no immediate danger of a climate catastrophe. All the inconvenience they are causing WE the People along with all the money they are spending on their friends for this charade is simply ridiculous. Believe me, we would know if a climate catastrophe was on the horizon.

TEDDY ROOSEVELT ON IMMIGRANTS IN AMERICA…1907

In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the person’s becoming in every facet an American and nothing but an American. There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn’t an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag…We have room for but one language here and that is the English language…and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people.”
