December Manufacturing PMI Up 3.2%
The December Manufacturing PMI up 3.2 percentage points from the November reading, registered 60.7 percent … the manufacturing economy continued its recovery in December. According to the Institute for Supply Management (ISM) December 2020 ISM Report on Business, economic activity in the manufacturing sector grew in December and the overall economy expanded for the eighth consecutive month. Survey committee members reported that their companies and suppliers continue to operate in reconfigured factories, but absenteeism, short-term shutdowns to sanitize facilities and difficulties in returning and hiring workers are causing strains that are limiting manufacturing growth potential, however panel sentiment remains optimistic.
US Drill Rigs Running Up From Prior Count
There were 351 oil rigs running in the US last week, up 3 from the prior count, down 445 rigs from one year ago. Meanwhile, in Canada, there were 59 rigs running, down 23 from the prior week, down 26 rigs from 1 year ago.
US Raw Steel Production ACUR 74.6%
In the week ending January 2, 2021, US raw steel production was 1,650,000 net tons at an ACUR of 74.6percent. this is an increase of 3.1 percent from the previous week.
Georgia Runoff Elections Tip Senate to Dems
On Tuesday, run-off elections were held in Georgia for 2 senate seats. At this time, on Wednesday afternoon, the Democrats have won both of those seats and now will control the White House, the House of Representatives and the Senate. The people have voted for socialism and now they will most certainly get it. In my view, it is not a good situation for the country.
Rally Turned Riot
There was a large rally to support Trump in Washington, also on Wednesday, which turned violent. Protesters raided the Capitol building, one person was shot, not sure of his/her condition. This is just wrong, in all ways. I have heard Antifa and BLM are responsible for this, being dressed as Trump supporters. It is possible and I would not put it past them and their organizers. It is also unlikely conclusive evidence would be found…if anyone chose to investigate.
The woman who was shot at the Capitol Building yesterday has died of her wounds. This is a tragedy.
Everyone in government and the media blame ALL of this on Donald J. Trump. I beg to differ. In my view, had America NOT experienced four years of lies and false charges against the president, none of this would have happened. A vast majority of people are unaware and uninformed or misinformed on the state of affairs in our country. The truth will not and has not been told to the people. There have been no apologies for the lies told about Trump. There have been no accolades for the many positive changes he brought to government and the American people.
Now, control of our government rests in the hands of radical leftists (communists). We shall see what happens going forward, I am not hopeful for anything positive. I know my personal taxes will increase as well as taxes on my business. I know more regulation is on the way, not less. I know more entitlement spending is on the way, not less. I know many of my freedoms in the Bill of Rights will come under pressure. The list goes on and on. What I have feared is now here.
On Thursday Pelosi and Schumer called for the president to be impeached once again (or invoke the 25th amendment)-with less than 2 weeks left in his term! What is their goal? To soil his name, his administration, to reverse all the good things he has done and, most importantly, to keep him from running again in 2024. You will also notice many in his administration abandoning ship and criticizing him for the riots on 1/6. Why? In reality, they are swamp creatures, career politicians wishing to keep their good standing in the swamp.
The shit has hit the fan folks and it will be blown all over the country…and us.
