Business Activity Grew Slightly in Empire State

The Federal Reserve Bank of New York released its October 2019 Empire State Manufacturing Survey and reports business activity grew slightly according to firms responding to the survey. The headline general business conditions index edged up two points. There was a small increase in new orders but shipments picked up. Delivery times decreased while inventories were little changed.

US Drill Rigs Running Up 1 From Prior Count

There were 856 drill rigs running in the US last week, up 1 from the prior count but down 207 from the same period last year. Meanwhile Canadian drill rigs rose by two at 149, down by 49 rigs from the same period last year.

US Raw Steel Production at ACUR 78.7%

In the week ending October 12, 2019 US raw steel production was 1,821,000 tons at an ACUR of 78.7 percent. Thus far this year mills have produced prox 76,078,000 tons as compared to the prox 73,940,000 tons produced in the like period last year.

The Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System Industrial Production and Capacity Utilization Report:

Industrial production fell back 0.4 percent in September after advancing 0.8 percent in August. For the third quarter, industrial production rose at an annual rate of 1.2 percent following declines of about 2 percent in both Q1 and Q2.

Manufacturing production decreased 0.5 percent in September with output reduced by the UAW strike against General Motors. Excluding motor vehicles and parts, the overall index and the manufacturing index each moved down 0.2 percent. Mining production fell 1.3 percent while utilities output rose 1.4 percent.

The Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia released its Manufacturing Business Outlook Survey for October and reports manufacturing activity in the region continued to grow. The survey’s broad indicators remained positive, although movements were mixed in the month. The survey’s future activity indexes remained positive, suggesting continued optimism about growth for the next six months.

This has gone beyond way out of hand.

The mission of the Democratic party since November 7, 2016 has been the destruction, obstruction and resistance of and against a duly elected president of the United States, including those in his administration. They began preaching impeachment on November 8, 2016. Based on what lie? The Electoral College is a failure and needs to be abolished? A failed attempt. He is a misogynist? A failed attempt. He is a racist? A failed attempt. He is a liar? Why, because he occasionally embellishes fact? What politician does not do that? Another failed attempt. He colluded with Russia to steal the 2016 election? 2 years of investigation, the Mueller Report and no evidence of collusion. Another failed attempt. He is a puppet of Vladimir Putin? A failed attempt. He fabricated a “crisis on the southern border?” NO, it IS a crisis. Another failed attempt to discredit. The list goes on and on.

The damage to our nation will be felt for years and years to come, quite possibly irreparable damage. Now, with 13 months until the election, the charges of “quid pro quo” with the president of Ukraine. Despite the release of the phone conversation transcript, which debunks the charges, the Democratic party has begun an impeachment inquiry, without a vote in the House of Representatives, in secrecy, leaking what they choose in order to continue their evil narrative.

I know many believe all, or much, of this nonsense (for the life of me, I cannot imagine why), but I also believe a vast majority of the American people see through the lies. If you listen to the president speak, you know in your heart his goal really IS to make America Great Again. He cares deeply for the country and her citizens. His rallies are packed with cheering fans, hundreds, even thousands of people wait outside to watch him on the big screens.

This is no illusion; it is real and it drives the Democrats insane. They cannot, will not draw crowds like this, anywhere. Why? Their message is anti-American, their proposals are socialist at best, delusional and unrealistic, a pipe dream. Abolish the 2nd Amendment? Live birth abortion? The Green New Deal? Higher taxes? Single payer healthcare? Abolish the electoral college? Abolish Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE)? Open borders? Reparations for slavery? “Free” college? “Free” healthcare for illegal immigrants? Guaranteed income? Gender neutral bathrooms? Gender neutral pronouns? Men playing women’s sports? Women playing men’s sports? Gender neutral? What is that? You are born with a penis or a vagina, you are what God made you. Live with it. No morality? No respect for others? Another list that goes on and on. It is complete insanity; radical and destructive for our country. What kind of society are we regressing into? We must decide what is better: conservative values or this immoral liberalism.

Why can’t the media give credit for what the president has accomplished in trade? There is a new deal with Japan. He has “phase 1” of a deal with China, which the media is playing down. Does anyone realize the nature of what is at stake with China? How momentous this will be when done? No, they must tear him down, “it is not the big wonderful deal he promised.” That is true, but it is a start, is it not? It is more than we had before, is it not? He has already crafted a trade deal with Canada and Mexico which sits in the House rotting away. Additionally, a trade deal with Japan has recently been completed. These are good things for America and the American people. Give credit where credit is due. I think that if the president got everything he wanted (which is unlikely), they would still find a way to criticize him. Screw all those negative thinking people.

Who won the Democratic debates on Tuesday? Donald J. Trump. There is not a strong personality in the field, in my view. I will say this; Tulsi Gabbard of Hawaii is an impressive personality. She is honest, patriotic and not prone to following elite Democrat talking points and that is precisely why they will not allow her to move ahead. That is too bad for the Democratic party and the country. Republicans would welcome her with open arms.

TEACH AMERICAN HISTORY TO OUR CHILDREN? ERASE AMERICAN HISTORY?
RESPECT OUR FLAG? DON’T GIVE A SHIT?
SAY THE PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE IN SCHOOL? WHAT IS THAT?

Now, if he can get our legislators to support him instead of fighting him….
