Weaker Automotive Demand Predicted
Special Bar Quality (SBQ) tags have moved up by some $40 per ton for October shipments in the wake of US mill hikes…September has seen a nice bump in activity with higher order intake as the summer lull has faded and people have returned to work, said a mill source…
Nonetheless, one automotive original equipment manufacturer said on September 13 that he’d not yet paid $40 per ton more for October shipments. That’s partly due to weaker automotive demand…”Automotive demand is softening quickly,” he said, adding that his company has forecast 25% lower auto-related sales for the 12 months through March 2018. US Steel Service Centers Ship More Steel Products in September
US steel service centers shipped more steel products last month than in August 2016, but the recent four month, year-on-year growth trend may be overstated considering 2016’s dismal demand levels. AMM

Manafort was Wiretapped
It has come to light that Paul Manafort, who was living at Trump Tower at some point during the campaign, was wiretapped. That means his conversations with Trump were taped and it also means that Trump was correct when he accused the Democrats of wiretapping Trump Tower (this was reported by CNN on 9/19 confirmation from reliable, named sources has not yet been made).
When will the Attorney General get involved and investigate these people? All the lies and innuendo and NOTHING has been revealed to validate any of the charges. Just political bullshit but the perpetrators should be held accountable. When will SOMEONE in government be held accountable for the criminal act or acts they are a part of? Lois Lerner – nothing, Eric Holder-lying on a beach, Susan Rice-lying next to him. I could go on and on. Our government has been infected by thieves and common crooks and the ONLY person who stands tall to take them on is our President. Why can’t people see this?
Trump Addresses UN
President Trump on Tuesday made his first address to the United Nations General Assembly. In his speech he applauded the American people, vowed to preserve their freedoms and to put America first in all negotiations. He also called out North Korea and told them frankly that we would destroy North Korea should they attack the United States or any of her allies.
In the same vein, he called out Iran as a terrorist state and urged all members to join together and defeat the poisonous groups and ideologies which threaten freedom and peace around the world. In my view it was a great speech; it was direct and understandable. It was not politi-speak where you talk much but say nothing of substance.
Naturally, the elites on the left and the right derided our President for calling Un “Rocket Man” charging he pulled the term from the Elton John song…that is an absurd assumption. And I doubt very much the song was the reason Trump used the term. Additionally, the idiots had nothing good to say about the positive things he said about our country, about the freedom loving people of the world, of how he had the balls to call out North Korea, Iran and the other losers who threaten peace. Idiots, all of them.

I will track these campaign promises and will check them off as each is accomplished adding those I have missed as they become apparent. This is quite an agenda and will be difficult to achieve all in one term but I believe the American people are behind him and know these things need to be done. Now, if he can get our legislators to support him instead of fighting him….

TEDDY ROOSEVELT ON IMMIGRANTS IN AMERICA…1907
In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the person’s becoming in every facet an American and nothing but an American. There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn’t an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag…We have room for but one language here and that is the English language…and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people.”
