Optimistic About Future Business Conditions

The Federal Reserve Bank of New York released its Empire State Manufacturing survey for the month of November 2017 and reports business activity continues to grow strongly in New York State. Indexes assessing the six month outlook suggested that firms were very optimistic about future business conditions.

US Raw Steel Production Rebounded Last Week

US raw steel production rebounded 1.4% last week as mills operated at an ACUR of 74.6%. in the corresponding week last year mills operated at an ACUR of 67.1%. Thus far this year mills have produced prox 78,000,000 tons compared to the prox 75,000,000 tons produced in the like period last year.

Complex Tax Effort

It appears Senate Republicans would seek, as part of their tax overhaul package, a repeal of the Affordable Care Act requirement (the mandate) that most Americans must have insurance coverage, adding an uncertain element to the already complex legislative effort.

The House of Representatives has passed the GOP tax bill, the most far-reaching overhaul for the US tax system in 31 years. Though I don’t think it does nearly enough for the working middle class, it is something. Business, both corporate and pass through (S corp), will get a very nice break, making our industries more competitive globally and allowing them  the latitude to invest more of their profits in machinery, buildings, equipment and hiring or increasing wages for their employees. Again, what needs to be done is to stop government waste (corruption, entitlements etc), which is and has been, running rampant. Get a handle on that and you can get really aggressive with the tax code. 13 Republicans voted against the bill; no Democrats voted for it. Go figure…

Articles of Impeachment

You cannot make this shit up as six Democrat lawmakers are pushing articles of impeachment against the president. Among their five actions deemed worthy of impeachment:

  • Obstruction of justice for firing FBI director Comey who himself has broken the law. Obstruction has yet to be proven. No crime, no impeachment.
  • Allegedly profiting from his position. Right, the guy is worth $10 billion and wouldn’t do anything so blatantly stupid, but Bill and Hillary Clinton have, Obama has. No crime, no impeachment.
  • Undermining the nation’s news media and justice system. Really? The news media is so utterly biased, if he doesn’t call them out, who will? The justice system? In what respect? No crime, no impeachment.

If crimes were committed by this president, I can guarantee, the people and both parties would be on this bandwagon. A bunch of charlatans and self-serving sons-of-bitches. So distraught that crooked Hillary lost. They cannot let it go. Instead of trying to help the country and the American people they continue down the road of trying to preserve their power in office. DRAIN THE SWAMP

Roy Moore

Regarding  senatorial candidate Roy Moore and the allegations of sexual harassment: Certainly, anyone taking advantage of or forcing themselves upon a woman, or a man for that matter, is committing sinful behavior and those proven to be such degenerates should NOT hold any position of power over anyone. That being said, in the dalliances between men and women through the ages, women have made themselves available to men of power and wealth. It is undeniable. Are the women who accused Bill Clinton of such a demeanor? Possibly. That does not excuse him from forceful sexual relations and even rape.

Roy Moore however, is accused of pursuing children, young women, and that is a sin and a disgusting crime. If proven guilty he should pay the consequences. My only question is; why after 30 or 40 years in public office are these accusations being made just prior to an election?

Al Franken

News flash…Thursday 11/16/17 that leftist dirtbag, Al Franken, has been accused of sexual misconduct, forcing himself on Leeann Tweeden on a USO tour. Additionally there is a picture of the both of them on a military plane during the tour, she sleeping, franken with his hands on her breasts. Hmmm, how will the democrats handle this?

I will track these campaign promises and will check them off as each is accomplished adding those I have missed as they become apparent. This is quite an agenda and will be difficult to achieve all in one term but I believe the American people are behind him and know these things need to be done. Now, if he can get our legislators to support him instead of fighting him….

TEDDY ROOSEVELT ON IMMIGRANTS IN AMERICA…1907

In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed,  or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the person’s becoming in every facet an American and nothing but an American. There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn’t an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag…We have room for but one language here and that is the English language…and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people.”
