Texas Production Index Hits 11 Year High

The Texas Production index hits 11 year high in December, according to the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas Texas Manufacturing Survey for December 2017. It reports factory activity expanded strongly in December, according to executives responding to the survey.

The Production index spiked to its highest level in more than 11 years. Other measures of manufacturing activity also pointed to more rapid growth. The new orders index also jumped to an 11 year high.

Perceptions of broader business conditions were markedly more positive in December.

Fifth District Survey of Manufacturing Activity Reports Moderate Growth

The Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond also released its Fifth District Survey of Manufacturing Activity and reports moderate growth in December. The composite index moved down but did stay positive, indicating continued growth.

The Midwest Economy Index (MEI) Increased to +0.22

The Midwest Economy Index (MEI) increased to +0.22 in November from -0.11 in October. Contributions from all four broad sectors of non-farm business activity increased from October though only the manufacturing sector made a positive contribution to the index. Seventh Federal Reserve District

Tax Reform Weighed on Consumer Confidence in December

As we come to the end of 2017, I would like to wish you a healthy, happy and prosperous New Year.

This year has not been without its trials in business, which is normal, but I must say that business conditions have improved markedly since the election last November.

Since President Trump was inaugurated he has done much to Make America Great Again. He has rolled back numerous regulations which were strangling business, has pulled out of the Paris Climate Accords, which were a joke, pulled out of TPP, also not good for the USA.

Just by his words, illegal border crossings are down around 50%. He has given corporate America and middle-class America tax cuts which will spur more business and create more jobs. Our military is being rebuilt to meet the challenges of this volatile world, ISIS has lost 98% of the territory it once held, half of that being done this year.

Many jobs have been created, he has appointed conservatives to numerous judicial positions, including the Supreme Court. Steps have been taken to reform our education system, the Veteran’s Administration, the EPA. These achievements and many more not mentioned herein will serve to unleash the American economic engine next year and for years to come.

All of a sudden, the Left is complaining that the middle-class tax cuts aren’t permanent.  It would have been so had the president not had to play politics with the swamp creatures. Anyway, there will be an opportunity to extend them or make them permanent in 8 years. Stop obstructing and start helping…

I keep hearing the left lay the current economic boom on Obama’s policies…after 8 years of his bullshit (1.5-2% growth, regulation upon regulation etc. etc.) I am surprised we have an economy left. Obama did NOTHING for business except strangle it. These lefties are delusional and idiotic.

This is quite an agenda and will be difficult to achieve all in one term but I believe the American people are behind him and know these things need to be done. Now, if he can get our legislators to support him instead of fighting him….
