US factory orders rose in March
US factory orders rose in March for a second straight month, according to the Commerce Department.
US raw steel production up from previous week
In the week ending May 2, 2026, US raw steel production was 1,856,000 net tons at an ACUR of 80.4 percent, this is up 1.4 percent from the previous week ending April 25, 2026.
Adjusted YTD production through May 2, 2026 was 31,405,000 net tons at an ACUR of 77.9 percent.
US drill rigs running up from previous week
There were 548 drill rigs running in the US at the current count on May 8, up one rig from the previous week, down thirty rigs from one-year ago. Canadian drillers added one rig this week, to 124, which is up 10 rigs from one year ago.

So, Iran is still causing problems in the Strait of Hormuz. I don’t know how, we have a blockade on the strait, nothing gets in or out without approval, the mosquito fleet is sunk whenever it pokes its head out, there are no warships, no war planes. I understand the US has made a peace proposal to Iran and we are awaiting their response. I do not know why, they lie about everything. I would lay out terms of surrender, give them a timeframe in which to get their shit together, then take the necessary action when they fail to comply, which they undoubtedly will do.
Thursday Iran fired on US ships in the Strait of Hormuz, of course they were destroyed but this just reiterates what I said above. You cannot trust or believe a word these creeps say. Destroy them and get rid of the problem.
