Modest Gain Masks Disappointing Report
A modest gain masks a disappointing report: the Consumer Price Index (CPI) increased 0.1% in August. While headline inflation was kept in check by falling gasoline process, core inflation increased 0.6% over the month.
US Raw Steel Production Up from Prior Week
In the week ending 9/10/22, US raw steel production was 1,723,000 net tons at an ACUR of 78.2 percent, up 0.5 percent from the prior week ending 9/3/22
Business Activity Held Steady in New York State
The Federal Reserve Bank of New York released its Empire State Manufacturing Survey for September and reports business activity held steady in New York State, according to executives responding to the survey. The headline business conditions index rose thirty points to -1.5. New orders edged higher and shipments increased. Delivery times held steady and inventories expanded.
Manufacturing Activity in the Region Declined Overall in September
The Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia released its September Manufacturing Business Outlook and reports manufacturing activity in the region declined overall in the month. The indicator for current activity returned to negative territory. Expectations for growth over the next six months were subdued, as the future general activity index improved but remained negative.

The idiot Marxists who are running our government, have decided to televise a round of new hearings later this month. You and I are paying for this charade. There is no doubt in my mind this is to sway people opinions prior to the November mid-term elections. Personally, I do not believe Trump took any document he should not have. He is not an idiot, and I am sure he would have been advised prior to taking anything questionable. He knew these morons would come after him. Anything to keep him out of the political scene or stop him completely from running for office in the future. They are horrified of this man.
Although the Biden administration insists our southern border is secure, we all know it is NOT secure. Illegal migrants are pouring over the border 24 hours a day. How they can blatantly lie to the American people daily is extremely annoying. I commend Gov. Greg Abbott for shipping the illegals to sanctuary cities, let them deal with it. He should be loading thousands on trains and shipping them to the cities who have the “open arms” policies-which they are against-in their own communities.
Ukraine fighters have reclaimed some 3,000 square miles of territory formerly occupied by the Russians. None of this would be possible with out America and her allies who contribute to the cause of freedom.
The idiots in Washington have spent $10 trillion (or $10,000 billions which equals $10 million millions, if you can wrap your arms around such an enormous number, not quite sure I do) of our dollars in the past 20 months. They of course say that such an infusion of cash into the system is not inflationary. Anyone with a brain knows that is a lie. Additionally, none of that money will benefit you or me or any other hard-working American. We have got to get a handle on the behemoth which is our government. It is too large a bureaucracy for oversight and ALL politicians are robbing us blind.
