Manufacturing Index Slipped into Correction Territory
The manufacturing index slipped into correction territory in December, according to the Institute for Supply Management (ISM). It dipped to 48.4, the lowest number for this factory bellwether since the early days of the pandemic in May 2020. New orders and production were both lower and both were also in contraction territory. Both imports and exports fell deeper into contraction amid abounding signs of slowing global growth.
US Raw Steel Production Down from Prior Week
In the week ending 12/31/22, US raw steel production was 1,602,000 net tons at an ACUR of 71.8 percent, down 0.7 percent from the prior week. Adjusted year-to-date production was 89,059,000 net tons, down 5.8 percent from year 2021 production.
US Drill Rigs Running Remain Unchanged from Previous Week
There were 779 drill rigs running in the US last week, no change from the previous week, but up 193 rigs from one year ago. Canadian drillers capped 12 more wells to 84, down 6 from the previous year.

Monday, we received the news that former crypto king, now a known fraudster crook, Sam Bankman-Fried, has pleaded NOT guilty to ALL charges against him, despite the overwhelming evidence of his guilt. It will be interesting to see how all this plays out since he donated stolen money to both Republicans and Democrats, though the Marxists got around $50 million. Do you think the people who were defrauded will ever see a penny of that money? The fat prick is on HOME arrest in a multi-million-dollar mansion, with mommy and daddy. I doubt he will serve any time. He wouldn’t last long anyway. They would sodomize him immediately and often. He is a punk.
In the end, he won’t suffer and the politicians to whom he gave money will also not suffer. This is the country in which we are now living; corrupt politicians, corrupt FBI, corrupt Department of Justice, corrupt everything.
So, the Republicans, with their very slim majority in the House, cannot get their shit together long enough to choose a Speaker. This is all about politics, it is NOT about our country or the taxpayers who work, live and raise their families here. It is a fucking joke with these people. There is no work for the people while they piss into the wind…
Have you heard about this guy, George Santos who just flipped a New York House seat in the mid-terms last November? He is a gay Latino (unless that is box checking), and a consummate liar. To wit; he claimed he graduated FROM Baruch College with a “bachelor’s degree in economics and finance,” claimed he was a “seasoned Wall Street financier and investor” for Citigroup and Goldman Sachs, claimed he “lost four employees that were at Pulse” (the 2016 homosexual nightclub massacre in Orlando), claimed his mother’s parents were Ukrainian Jews who fled from the Holocaust but none of her ancestors were Ukrainian or Jewish-all unsubstantiated. Apparently, that is not against the law for politicians. Biden has been lying for 50 years and people continue to elect him to office. What about just-reelected Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) who repeatedly lied about serving in Vietnam (Stolen Valor is what that is called), or Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) who has repeatedly lied about her Native American ancestry? All BULLSHIT, and yet sheepish Americans (?) continue to vote for these charlatans. What a shame.

The Biden administration is moving to expand a parole program, originally intended for Venezuelans, as his answer to the mess he created on our southern border. The program will now include illegals from Cuba, Nicaragua and Haiti. These illegals will now be able to apply for legal status for two years (so they can work and take American jobs). Apparently, they will now be able to access a government app and apply for legal status from their couch, in whatever country they are in. If you think these people will up and leave after two years, you are smoking crack. This is another bad joke by the Marxists in control of our government. There is no compassion for the Americans who will lose their jobs, or the citizens who will be subjected to swarms of illegal immigrants who have not been naturalized as American citizens. They do not speak English, but they will get all kinds of freebies from the Marxists. Freebies that YOU, as a citizen, are not welcome to.
